Ltd holds 80 percent shares while Guangzhou Nansha Science and Technology Investment Co., Ltd. holds 20 percent shares. It covers a land area of 162 acres, equal to 108,000 square meters, of which the building area for production are 10,030 square meters, for office 5,564 square meters, for suppliers 6,552 square meters in the first phase of project. The chairman Dr. Cao Xiaofan is a leader of three Nasdaq (NASDAQ) listed companies such as Avanex, E-Tek/JDSU and Oplink in the United States.
The company is mainly shooting at the high-end optoelectronic devices and their applications, and the solutions to next (super-3 G) wireless communication network. Its development and production focuses on the optical communication chips, devices and subsystems. It strives to become a manufacturer of photoelectric products about large-scale packaging and back-end product development. The products will be widely used in large optical fiber communications, broadband access networks, cable digital TV transmission networks and wireless local access networks. The company has developed and applied a series of products to a national route network and MAN (Metropolitan Area Network) in the first phase, which includes 10 Gbs avalanche photodetectors, high-speed measurement, optical amplifiers, high-speed optical receiving components and analog receiving components. This photoelectron project has drawn attention from Guangzhou municipal leaders and was listed as a key construction project in Guangzhou in 2005. It was put into production in the second half of 2006 and achieved the output value of 21.68 million yuan in the same year.
