On April 1st, Rao Jian, Vice Director of the GAGOC Information Technology Department, said that the information technology programs designed for the GuangZhou Asian Games has developed two independent innovative systems.
One is designed to match scheduling and resource plan applications systems, which can provide highlights of the matches and assure that they are distributed evenly and allow audiences to enjoy the excellent matches every day. The other is the sports presentation system, which is designed to create a passionate air for audiences.
At present, all the Asian Games-related information systems have fully entered the material development stage. The majority of the applications systems and venues technology will be completed this year and then enter the testing and technical rehearsal stages.
At the moment, the core systems of the Guangzhou Asian Games, called the Information System, is ready to sign the contract and begin carrying out the preliminary works. The bidding for the Timing and Scoring System is also under tight promotion and it is expected that officials will decide on the supplier in June.
Then the Asian Games Data Center and Command Centers are scheduled to be completed and put into use by the end of this month.
