On the First Belarus-Guangdong Science and Technology Festival Symposium, the signing ceremony for the Cooperation Frame between Baiyun District and Belarus National Science and Technology Park (BNSTP) and the Cooperation Agreement between Guangdong Baiyun International Science Institute and BNSTP was held. The ceremony marked a new stage of the international science and technology cooperation between the government and enterprises of Baiyun District and Belarus.

Till the night of July 26, 13 enterprises and institutions of Baiyun District had signed 18 contracts with Belarus, with a total value of US＄11.20 million.

Yu Chufeng pointed out that Baiyun District would deepen and broaden the development of high-tech industry and plan the construction of Guangdong International Science and Technology Cooperation Innovative Base with the support and guidance of Science and Technology Department of Guangdong Province. Taking the construction of the base as an opportunity, the district would furthur enhance the international science and technology cooperation. The base, if built, would include International Scientific and Technological Cooperation Industrial Park, International Scientific and Technological Cooperation Creative Park and International Experts Neighbourhood with multifunction and first-class facilities, which would attract more foreign talents to participate in scientific and technological development of Guangdong Province and create conditions and opportunities for the talents in Guangdong to participate in international scientific and technological cooperation.
