According to the list, the top six media companies with the largest brand value in China are CCTV (126.129 billion yuan), Phoenix Satellite Television Holdings Limited (25.732 billion), People’s Daily (13.125 billion), Guangzhou Daily (9.936 billion), Reference News Xinhua News Agency (9.882 billion) and Hunan Radio and TV broadcasters (9.69 billion.) Guangzhou Daily ranked fourth in the media list and second for print media, next to the People’s Daily.
In 2004, the brand value of Guangzhou Daily was 4.617 billion yuan. In 2005, Guangzhou Daily entered the top three for print media with a brand value of 4.76 billion yuan.
