On May 1, the day of the International Labor Day, 15 deluxe classic cars debuted at the Haixinsha Square Park, the site of the GuangZhou Asian Games opening ceremony, attracting thousands of people in the park and along the parade route.
The parade team departed the park at around 10:00 p.m., travelled the original Asian Games torch relay path, and arrived at the Pazhou’s JSWB home furnishing center for a three-day exhibition. Organized by the Canton Auto Culture Association, these 15 classic cars belong to private owners and were exported via Hong Kong. They have dozens of years of vintage and together more than one hundred years of history, including a 1929 Ford and a 1919 Buick H45. But all the cars have been kept in excellent condition and are qualified to drive.
The event was meant to promote and inaugurate the “Moments of Asian Games opening” performance being held in the Haixinsha Square Park from April 30 to May 8.
