The Eastern Pearl River Cruise was launched at the Tianzi Pier on the night of August 4. Tourists on the cruise will be able to enjoy the night view of the eastern section of The Pearl River and the venue of the opening ceremony of the Asian Games. The cruise will be extended to the Pazhou Convention and Exhibition Complex.

The century-old Tianzi Pier reopened in late July after four months of “facelift”. The inaugural cruise on the evening of August 4 included a ceremony for the 100-days-to-go mark of the Asian Games. To celebrate the countdown to the Asian Games, the cruise operator offered concessions to tourists, with groups of three given one-person complimentary ride.

There will be one cruise departing from the Tianzi Pier every 20 minutes from 6:40 PM every day until August 31. Students with valid examination permits are entitled to a 20% concession, while those with student ID cards will be given a 15% discount.
