As a part of the 2011 Croisements Festival, the French quartet “Quatuor Modigliani” will come to the Xinghai Concert Hall on May 29 with their four violins of precious century-long history.
The Quatuor Modigliani was formed in 2003. Soon after, the group received three international prizes in just three years: the International Eindhoven prize in 2004, the Vittorio Rimbotti prize in Florence in 2005 and the prestigious Young Concert Artists Auditions in New York in 2006.

Philippe Bernhard: violin belonging to Giovanni Battista Guadagnini from 1780.
Loic Rio: violin belonging to Alessandro Gagliano from 1734.
Laurent Marfaing: viola belonging to Luigi Mariani from 1590.
Franccedilois Kieffer: cello belonging to Matteo Goffriller ‘ex-Warburg’ from 1706
