Venues of the GuangZhou 2010 Asian Games and Asian Para Games started full operations with a mobilisation conference held at Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall in Guangzhou on Thursday (August 12).

Yang Shu’an, Vice Minister of the General Administration of Sport of china and Vice President of the Guangzhou Asian Games Organising Committee (GAGOC), Xu Ruisheng, Vice Mayor of Guangzhou and Executive Deputy Secretary General of GAGOC and the Guangzhou Asian Para Games Organising Committee (GAPGOC), Chen Guo, Vice Mayor of Guangzhou and Deputy Secretary General of GAPGOC, attended the conference and delivered speeches.

The leaders required operation teams for all competition and non-competition venues and all task forces to spare no effort on their positions in the final days before the Games and ensure smooth venue operations in Games time.

Over 3,100 officials and staff members of venue operation teams attended the conference.
