In Guangdong, one of china’s most prosperous provinces, there are multifarious forms of Intangible cultural heritages cultivated.
There is an exhibition hall set up in Expo 2010 Shanghai that a variety of intangible cultural heritages from Guangdong unveil themselves to numerous visitors both home and abroad, which is also part of the celebrations for Guangdong Week lasting for seven days until August 1 at Expo 2010 Shanghai.
Visitors can have a chance to learn more about the traditional Lingnan culture and a charming Guangdong since the intangible cultural heritage takes root in people’s daily life.
The intangible cultural heritages demonstrated in the Expo Park includes the GuangZhou colour porcelain, Guangdong paper-cut, Foshan New Year wood-block print, Chao embroidery, Lufen shadow play and Guangdong dragon boating.
At the exhibition hall, a series of Asian Games-themed Guangzhou colour porcelain are on display, and one Guangdong folk artist Chen Wenming said, “We hope more international friends are able to know more about the culture in Guangzhou by hosting the 16th Asian Games.”
