Located at 188 Huangpu Avenue West, the coach station in Zhujiang New Town is scheduled to close on August 10. The land has been auctioned for real estate development.

According to Miss Jiang, the station’s manager, the station has been run for nearly seven years with ten single-journey lines launching from the station. Destinations include Baiyun Airport, shenzhen, zhuhai, Zhongshan and others, most being in The Pearl River Delta.

Although the station is small, thousands of travelers depart, many on business trips leaving the city’s financial district, every day. The station’s closing will cause inconvenience for these travelers, causing them to take coaches from GuangZhou East Railway Station or from stations even further away from the city center.
