The 2010 South china Book Fair will open on August 20th at the Pazhou International Convention and Exhibition Centre in GuangZhou and will last for five days. More than 250,000 different books will be on sale and over 200 cultural activities will be staged. Six hundred publishing houses shall be present and important discounts will be available for visitors, ranging from 20 per cent to 70 per cent.

From August 15, Xinhua Bookstores, 7-Eleven stores, Aiyaya Special Stores and some branches of the Agricultural Bank of China will give out 200,000 book coupons and free metro tickets so as to attract more visitors. Other cities in the province including Dongguan and zhuhai will also be organising book exhibitions over the same period.
