GuangZhou-Korea Trade Negotiation Conference was held in Hotel Canton in the morning of July 23. Fourteen Korean enterprises attended the conference, which reflected the wave of china-craze in Korea, said Lee Ju-Tae, President of the Import Industry Association of Korea.

The negotiation conference had been held for the third time in Guangzhou, which had become a good platform for communication between entrepreneurs in both Guangzhou and Korea. At the conference, more than ten enterprises from Korea had reached preliminary agreenment on cooperation with their counterparts in Guangzhou. Representatives from three of the Korean enterprises paid a visit to the local enterprises.

In the first half of this year, the total volume of import and export trade between Guangzhou and Korea reached US＄3.222 billion, increasing 145.66 percent over the same period of last year. The export volume hit US＄360 million, a year-on-year increase of 72.47 percent, and the import volume US＄2.862 billion, a year-on-year increase of 159.49 percent. The total committed and paid-in foreign investment reach US＄54.20 million and US＄84.87million respectfully, 7.51 times and 2.65 times more than that in the same period of last year.
