(I) Implement the state, provincial and municipal laws, decrees, regulations, guidelines and policies related to supervision and management of food, drug, medical appliance, health product and cosmetics.

(II) Supervise and manage the manufacturers, operators and users of drug, medical appliance, health product and cosmetics in the district on a daily basis.

(III) Supervise and spot-check the drug and medical appliance quality of the drug manufacturers, operators and users in the district.

(IV) Exercise the comprehensive supervision duties for food safety management in the district according to law and organize & coordinate the food safety supervision work undertaken by the departments concerned.

(V) Check the drug, medical appliance, health product and cosmetic markets in the district within the scope of responsibilities; investigate and deal with the violations of manufacturing and selling fake & inferior products and punish the principals in violation of the laws & regulations according to law; assist the municipal administration and check subbureau in investigating and dealing with major cases in the city; investigate and handle the related quality cases assigned by the higher authorities or reported by informants.

(VI) Supervise and manage the drug operation quality control, medical preparation management standards, medical appliance quality and chinese medicinal materials markets; make preliminary verification for issue and change of the Drug Operation License (Retail).

(VII) Undertake other tasks assigned by the Municipal Food & Drug Administration.
