Covering an area of 42 hectares, GuangZhou Zoo is the second largest Zoo in Southern china after Xiangjiang Safari Park. It currently houses more than 5,000 animals that belong to over 400 species.
Besides the insects, reptiles and amphibians, birds, primates, felines, and herbivores, the zoo also houses many endangered and exclusive-in-China species like pandas, golden monkeys, South China tigers, and rare ones like the world’s shortest horse. Animals from all over the world can be also seen here such as chimpanzees and African elephants.
Many tourist attractions in the zoo including Ocean World, Goldfishes, butterfly World, Animal feeding Show, Animals Performances and Children’s Jungle will offer visitors a wonderful experience.
