General Introduction

Luofeng Temple is located on the Luofeng Mountain in Luogang Xiangxue Park. As one of the 12 famous colleges in the history of GuangZhou, it has a long history of more than 800 years. For it integrates the different architecture styles of Song, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties into itself, it is a unique and distinctive one in Guangzhou. In the August of 1983, it was listed as a key historical relic under the protection of Guangzhou City.

Luofeng Temple integrates the architectural patterns of imperial palace with the building characteristics in Guangdong Province. It was built on a mountain as well as in high trees. Hall, West Room, Fish Pond and Waterside Pavilion are just a few among the tourist attractions. Walk out of the mountain gate and go upward, you will see an ancient pavilion with four characters meaning “high mountains and long rivers” on it, Wenchang Shrine and Jinhua Shrine. Around it, the water is running and birds are singing. You will witness aromatic flowers, rugged rocks and numerous lichi. At the foot of the mountain, there are ten miles of plum forest and a wide plain. The man-made environment and the nature are integrated in one whole.
