The GuangZhou Asian Games Organising Committee (GAGOC) uncovered a brand-new souvenir – the miniature of the 16th Asian Games Torch “The Tide” at Guangzhou V-Space International Sports Mall on Sunday.
Fang Da’er, Director of GAGOC Marketing Department, Xie Xingfang, a former world badminton champion, and Chen Shaoshu, General Manager of Beijing Huajiang Culture Development Co.,Ltd (the manufacturer for the mininature of the Games Torch), attended the ceremony and celebrated the release of the miniature of “The Tide” as one of the Games’ licensed products.

Fang spoke at the ceremony, “The miniature of “The Tide” is regarded as one souvenir of great significance for the general public and collectors.
“Its release not only plays a vital role in promoting the Guangzhou Asian Games and disseminating Asian Games culture, but also pushes the marketing development of the Asian Games licensed products.
“Meanwhile, we anticipate this event will be warming up city-wide enthusiasm for the Games Torch Relay.”
The newly-released licensed product is a miniature of the Games Torch “The Tide”, and measures 36cm long. Its coloured glaze pedestal is inlaid with jade while it also is decorated with the Emblem of the Guangzhou Asian Games, Olympic Council of Asia and the icon of “The Tide”.
It is issued with a limited circulation of 16,000 sets, symbolising the 16th edition of the Asian Games.
