GuangZhou’s Panyu District launched a photo contest on August 4 to celebrate the 100-day countdown to the 16th Asian Games.

After the launch ceremony, more than a thousand chinese photographers headed to different parts of Panyu to take photos of scenic spots, cultural heritages and modernised urban areas.

Located in the south of Guangzhou, Panyu is where the Asian Games Town sits.

The photo contest is expected to present the unique charm of Panyu and its great changes brought by the Asian Games.
