The first phase of post training courses for staff working at Asian Games venues was held by the Human Resource Department of the GuangZhou Asian Games Organising Committee (GAGOC) in Guangzhou on Saturday (August 7).
Deputy Secretary General of GAGOC, Gu Shiyang gave a training lecture to about 1,000 newly recruited officials who will work at Asian Games venues. Mr Gu elaborated the preparation work for the Guangzhou 2010 Asian Games and Asian Para Games on six main aspects, such as the general situation of the Games, the goal and principle of the Games, the opportunities and challenges the Games brought and so on.
On the other hand, Li Zhichang, Director of the Human Resources Department of GAGOC, encouraged the trainees to treasure this opportunity and apply what they learn to their work.

According to the training procedure for venue operation teams, the Human Resources Department of GAGOC will train nearly 5,000 staff members of competition and non-competition venues, training venues and task forces.
