At the rare turtles preservation base of GuangZhou Agricultural Technology Promotion Center, which has the most number of turtle varieties in Guangdong Province, scientific researchers have successfully preserved 20 rare turtles varieties through their researches on life habits, artificial simulation ecology raising and breeding, and industrialization usage and so on.

This research project won Second Prize at the Guangzhou Science and Technology Prize-Awards Meeting that was held recently. It was also mentioned that the heosemys grandis, India black turtle, black manouria impressa and sacalia bealei species had been successfully bred artificially in our country for the first time also.

At present, the ecological raising and artificial technology for different types of turtle has been researched and applied widely in the Baiyun, Panyu, Huadu Districts, as well as in Zengcheng and Conghua City. More than 300 thousand rare turtles have been raised recently using this technology. These research findings have also been used to guide the raising and breeding of rare turtles in other cites such as Foshan, Dongguan and maoming.
