GuangZhou Municipal People’s Government is now accepting applications for the 5th Guangzhou Friendship Award for Foreign Experts. Ten laureates will be selected and awarded 100,000 RMB each.
Qualified candidates must have at least one year of work experience in an organization under the municipal government, be endorsed by that organization and fulfill at least one the following requirements:
1. Promote new technology, new craftsmanship or a new method in their field. Solve key problems or fill the gaps in the development of technology or management of the city, and have obtained distinct economic or social achievements.
2. Help the establishment or improvement of the management system of the city’s enterprises, so as to make distinct achievements in operation efficiency.
3. Make a distinct contribution to the building, commissioning, operation and management of the city’s production and construction projects.
4. Propose vital suggestions for the advancement of technology regarding the city’s enterprises and have obtained distinct economic achievements.
5. Train professionals for the city. Donate greatly valuable equipment, books, files or documents, or make distinct contributions to aspects of teaching, research, publishing or publicizing.
Note: Foreign experts who have obtained other awards or honors are preferable. Previous laureates of the Friendship Award will not be considered. All information regarding candidates must be legitimate to be publicized.
Forms and documents should be submitted by an endorsing party and should include:
1. Two copies of the “Application Form of Guangzhou Friendship Award for Foreign Experts” (downloadable at www.gzfeb.com). The information given in the form should be true. The biography and contribution of the candidate should be described comprehensively with facts, and be concise in language and accurate in numbers. The word limit is 2,000 chinese characters.
2. Supplementary documents to support the facts of the candidate’s biography, such as photos, text files, audios or videos and award certificates.
