The east tower of Tee Mall (天河城) caught fire at around 10:08 a.m. yesterday (April 27).The thousands of building staff left. Fortunately, no one was hurt in the accident. The news was soon released on weibo, a twitter-like chinese microblog, in some minutes.

The fire was was cited to have been caused by the cooling tower on the terrace. Black smoke emerged in the sky and could be seen within the district. Five fire engines joined the rescue and the fire was extinguished about 20 minutes later.

Tee Mall is a shopping mall in the GuangZhou’s Tianhe district, the CBD of the city. The east tower accommodates offices of the multinational corporations.
