Tickets for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the 16th Asian Games will go on sale to the public worldwide at 10am on July 26, announced Yuan Yue, Deputy Director of the Marketing Department of the GuangZhou Asian Games Organising Committee (GAGOC) and Director of the Ticketing Centre of the Guangzhou 2010 Asian Games and Asian Para Games.

GAGOC held a press conference at its headquarters on Wednesday afternoon to make the announcement.

From 10am July 26 to 5pm August 15, 2010, the public can log on the Official Ticketing Website of the Guangzhou 2010 Asian Games (tickets.gz2010.cn) or go to 400 designated ticket sale branches of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of china (ICBC) across China to submit your request for the tickets.

Tickets for Opening & Closing Ceremonies to go on sale on July 26

Five thousand tickets will be available for the Asian Games Opening Ceremony and 5,000 for the Closing Ceremony, ranging from RMB1,600 to 6,800.

Applicants must make payments first before getting eligible for ticket lottery in September. Then GAGOC will send confirmation letters to lottery winners and return payments to other applicants. Tickets will be delivered to lottery winners in October.
