The IMAX 3D version of “The Transformers III” is currently screening at the Guangdong Science Center. Four screenings will be at 11:00, 14:00, 17:00 and 20:00. Price of the ticket is 100 RMB.

The Gigantic 3D theater, with a screen 10 floors high, can accommodate 600 people.

The IMAX projector adopts the most advanced 3d imaging technology with a sensing area ten times that of the common 35mm. Meaning, clear and stable images literally come right out at you.

The IMAX 3D version of Transformers III grossed USD 22.5 million in North America’s box office in the first six days, becoming the first IMAX movie in the world to make over USD 20 million in the first week of screening.

Whereas most 2D and 3D cinemas use only one projector of 3,000 watts, Guangdong Science Center’s IMAX uses two projectors of 15,000 watts, making it currently the world’s brightest IMAX viewing set-up.
